OUR BACKGROUND

Niu Green comes with each reused bag, every green purchase, every time the Bicing bike service is used. It was created for every one of us who lives in the city but loves nature. In essence, it was created due to a single concern: can we live in the city in a sustainable manner?

We met at the exact time when we needed and were in a position to offer an answer. Following two years of research, a project and a renovation, innovating and creating solutions, and also retrieving solutions from our tradition, we created the first sustainable home in Barcelona: Projecte À-tic.

We decided to try it, experience it and share it. We sought to share it with everyone who shares with us a concern for health and the environment, or those who may even have put down the keys to their cars and grabbed a scooter or a bicycle. There is only one step remaining to close the circle: the home.However, this is not merely our way of life; rather, we established Niu Green in order to further pursue research, dissemination and, above all, the engagement in projects for all of those who, just like us, wish to live in a sustainable manner.

Mechanical technical engineer

I’m Pablo, an enthusiast of technology and devices, particularly those that improve our quality of life. I have a natural tendency to take things apart and put them back together again.

My mechanical spirit allows me to extend the operating life of anything I get my hands on, no doubt a family trait I inherited.

This is how I ended up studying industrial technical engineering, which soon led to me working in traditional companies. Then I decided to change: I jointly established an electrical scooter start-up and I undertook an MBA in order to top it up: entrepreneurship drives me.

At the crossroads between my hobbies and my desire to form my own project lies Niu Green.

PALOMA MARTÍN VIDAL

Senior technical architect

Hi! My name is Paloma, a restless traveller, enamoured as much by nature as the city. Ever since I was a little girl, I have made model houses, written handmade 3D letters to Santa and used my shoeboxes as models. I am unable to avoid hoarding any bit of material: it is only waiting to be transformed.

I studied Architecture, Project Management and International Development. Thus, my professional career has unfolded between architecture and cooperation, which merge when it comes to natural resource management, green construction and sustainability.

With Projecte À-tic we learnt to live in the city in a sustainable manner. Niu Green arose to enable you to do so as well.
